       Recently I opened my instagram totally dedicated to my clay creations, quetz_poly. I will be posting most of my work-in-progress photos there (since it's easier) as well as some color recipes.

Merry Christmas to all my viewers! Im finally back from a break I took to fill in orders and finish projects. Starting today I will start posting pictures here more frequently.

Hello anyone there?...........

Hi everyone! sorry for not posting in a while. I had a bunch of Birthday presents I needed to make. Yes, I'm one of those people who make present instead of buying them. I have made some copies of some of the things I gave away that I'll be posting soon. I also decide that I won't be continuing on the castle house necklace project anymore. Which you may have all forgotten about. But I did do a remake of my fair house necklace I made when I was starting out...........

Feliz 5 de Mayo everyone! I didn't make a house necklace for this one, alothough I wish i had. I might make one later, I always do!

Easter Basket house necklace

  Okay so I did finish my house necklace on easter but I didn't bake it until the next day, then I just forgot to take the picture, oops! So I know I'm a week late but like I always say it's better late than never........right ? Okay back to  business, I wanted something very different for this one so I changed the base entirely to look like ..........(wait for it)......a basket !!! ( which you probably already noticed).

Tah-dah !! all the furniture is egg shaped !

This is the bedroom 

This is the egg bed and in front are the drawers.

 The blanket has a little basket design on it, now that I think of it it would have been better if I had put the basket on the other side......... oh well.  

That's the egg closet.

That on the wall is a picture frame with a bunny photo.

This is the first floor, which is also the living room!

It has a egg T.V. and a tall egg lamp.......

......and my favorite thing an egg couch and don't forget the egg coffee table.

I wanted to show you the back  before I but in the back piece to make it into a necklace. This took me the longest to make. I had to wire and weave it by hand this is what really made it look like a real basket.

That's the handle. 

I made the roof to look like a cover that opens in half  ( it doesn't actually open though) kind of like in a picnic basket.

I thought a bow to the side would be a cute element.

 I experimented with the light a little and thought it looked nice with the light coming through the cracks of  the basket.

Happy Easter everyone! I finished my easter house necklace and will be posting it tomorrow.

Happy Hunger Games!

  Happy 75th Hunger Games! And May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favor. In order to celebrate the premier I made this house necklace representing three stages of the book, as well as the movie.

The first floor represents the Seam in district 12, Katniss home. The second level is the capital. The third level represents her during the Hunger Games.  I wanted more than a simple background so I made a coal inspired walls that sparkles in the light silver and gold.

The second level has the tube that brings her up at to the Hunger games arena. I added a fire background to represent her nickname "the girl on fire". Also her red fire dress Katniss wears during her interview and the arrow stand that she uses to shoots at the gamemakers....

........ as well as the target practice.

  

The first level includes her dad's leather hunting boots and coat And the district twelve's coal miners sign on the left side.

On the right side is her bow and arrows Katniss uses for hunting and a gathering basket. I made a fence background representing the electric fence that separates district twelve from the woods she hunts in.

In the third level I included a few things, on the right side is a silver parachute and Katniss black camouflage sleeping-bag.

On the left side is the fire and a nightlock berry bush. Also is the silver bow and arrows as well as the orange backpack Katniss is given containing Peeta's medicine and has to fight for at the cornucopia. I made this based in the description of the book, but it seamed to be different in the movie.

And lets not forget the famous mockingjay pin Kaniss wears during the games. This took me a good hour or two to make, hardest thing to make in the whole house.

I'm really satisfied how this house ended and one house necklace that worried me most because I did wanted to do the book justisce. I hope all the fans loved it and the movie, I know I did!!

the first day of spring !

The first day of spring has welcomed me with a cold splash of rain :|. But I know it means one season closer to summer !

a really late christmas cabin nacklace

ahhhhhhhh I'm really late as usual (even though i had already finished the house about two weeks ago) well at lest i hope it's worth the wait.

I added a fireplaceand decorated with stocking. There also a fire but it's very hard to see it.

This is how the chimmeny from the outside.

I made a little family portrait

And didn't forget the letter to santa with the milk and cookies.

Theres a misltoe on the top of the door. Also all the little christmas lights, including the one on the tree and the fire (from the  fireplace), are glow-in-the-dark.

Theres a mini me in the attic.

The big pink cover present has a Q on it.

I really wanted a snow covered roof it has sparkels and sorta looks like cloth.

Questions with Answers

  I decided to answer two questions I often get asked.


 1.  Q: How long does it take you to finish your house necklaces??

      A: I takes me from 2 days to 2 weeks. I guess what people don't realize is that I design and draw all my house necklaces, which could take me a day or a week sometimes even longer (depending on the theme). But there is the occasions where there is no theme but just pretty colors or new effects or even new tools that I'm dying to use, and thats when I just wing it to see what happens. 

2.  Q: How long does it take you to make your button eye dolls??

     A: This is a much longer process from designing and drawing to creating the base and making the doll. The whole thing can take me up to a month and a half or two months. This is just because not every doll has the same base. The base is the most important thing when It come to the doll making. It determines the size, position, and the proportion of the doll. And I know by experience that a bad base equals a bad doll. But yes it's true I often take breaks when I'm either stuck or overworked with a certain doll. But in the end I have fun making it.

Valentines day house necklace

  Happy Valentines day! Yes! I'm, for the first time, ever actually posting the holiday house necklace on the actual holiday! (since I still haven't posted the Christmas cabin house really does tell you how late I am with these things) well I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!

I Just had to add the arrow going across it, of course 

I really did go overboard with the hearts and sparkles 

It's rather small but on the left side is a small makeup counter, I'm not sure what the name for it is though

valentines day preparations

 I have just been reminded today that tomorrow is Valentines day ( I even decorated my blog) ! which leads to the very very good news that I actually finished my valentines day house necklace on time I just need to bake, glue,  take pictures, upload............. ok so I might have more thing to do than I hoped for but I think it can all my done by tomorrow ( which is a first for me ).

  I really wanted to make a Christmas house , so I put hold the castle project to make the Christmas house necklace. I came up with the idea to make a Christmas cabin.  I'm adding new features and changing some, so check back daily for the post ( because I don't know when I'm gonna finish it)

good and bad news

  I'm probably a little over due for a post but, I have a good excuse for it. I got a new computer recently that I love, but I found a down side to it. I discovered that I can put my camera memory card into the computer so I need to figure out another way to download and post picture. So I thought I would write something else, but  a lot more than half of my blog is pictures. And I think the best descriptions are pictures. So I might not post pictures for a while :( , so I have to get my writing skills on..........
